To see how to delete a record from the Data Grid, be sure to read Part 8.) When I got to the question of adding new records, though, I seemed to hit a wall.
NET since it was ASP , but only recently got around to actually doing anything with it.
While I found plenty of information in books and on the Internet on editing, deleting and customizing the Data Grid's display, I couldn't find much at all about how to add records without creating another page.

If you want to load the original data only once use if(! Is Post Back) on initial load, I can't see your code, but most likely you have an edit button that is reloading your initial values or something.
Is this because the page is refreshing before it updates the data? Take a look at your code that occurs on Page Load, you're probably loading the data regardless if the Page is a Post Back or not.
